Apple continues to be the favorite brand of Americans as it once again won the 2013 Harris Poll EquiTrend Brand of the Year for the Computer, Tablet and Mobile Phone Category.

Harris Interactive, a market research firm that conducts yearly poll for consumer electronic brands, awarded the iPad, Mac, and iPhone as best in their respective categories. With the votes of over 38 500 US consumers out of 1500 brands in over 155 categories, Apple won over tech giants.

Based on the positive feedback that the US Consumers gave Apple year after year and with the release of its improved products, the tech company once again topped the poll results. For the computer  category, Apple won over HP and Dell; it came first in the tablet category over Google and Samsung; and topped over HTC, Samsung and LG in the smartphone category.

For other categories, Newegg was picked as favorite online Computer Retailer, followed by Microsoft, and the Apple Store in third place.

The poll was conducted between January and February of this year, with consumers ages 15 and over as participants, and the result was based on consumer Connection and Brand Momentum. Consumer Connection measures a brand’s Emotion, Fit, Trust and Performance; Brand Momentum is comprised of Energy, Ubiquity, Future Outlook, Leadership and Popularity.

“Americans continue to give Apple brands strong ratings,” says Manny Flores, Senior Vice President at Harris Interactive. “And while their Consumer Connection scores are strong within their respective categories, what really stands out is that in all three of the categories Apple brands are measured – Computer, Tablet and Mobile Phone – its Brand Momentum scores are in the top 30 of all 1,500 brands evaluated in the study, showing that consumers see this as a brand of the future.”

Based on this consecutive winnings of Apple, it seems that Tim Cook has proven himself to be an effective successor of Steve Jobs.
